While strolling the streets near the Mercato Centrale in Florence visit this old-fashioned store. Frigatoria Luisa makes delectable items like bomboloni (deep-fried donuts), frittelle (fritters), and ciambelle (a ring-shaped bun, sometimes filled).


Da Gelsomina is located in the La Migliera area of Anacapri. It offers elegantly furnished rooms, a superb swimming pool, and an excellent restaurant.

Florence’s central food market, housed in architect Giuseppe Mengoni’s 19th century cast-iron building, sells fresh fish, meat, cheeses, flowers, fruits and vegetables in hundreds of food stalls. A wonderful place for lunch while visiting Florence!
