Caffè Florian

The oldest cafe in Italy, opened in 1720. Byron, Dickens , Goethe, Proust, Hemingway and Mark Twain drank their coffee here. This caffé is a classic, immerse yourself in the ambience.


First seen from the shores of Stresa, the palace and gardens of Isola Bella seem to float on Lago Maggiore's surface like a great ship of state, its prow the theatrical ten-terraced garden, with statues silhouetted on the marble balustrades.
