gilda_01.jpg Streamline X Coupe

Just for fun, now that Chrysler has filed for bankruptcy, it is worth noting that, at one time, they had a robust vision of the future.

Chrysler commissioned the Italian auto company, Carrozzeria Ghia, to build this turbine powered space-age coupe with period tapered fins in 1955. It was designed by Giovanni Savonuzzi, formerly an aircraft engineer, and was once in the Henry Ford Museum. Other outstanding designs by Savonuzzi were the Fiat 8V Ghia Supersonic Coupe and 1949 Cisitalia 202 MM.
