Newly restored Piemonte palace makes its debut.

The Baroque palace, Reggia di Venaria Reale, was the royal residence of Duke Carlo Emanuelle II of Savoy. It consists of the palace, gardens, stables and a 235 acre hunting reserve, Parco della Mandria. A nine year painstaking restoration was completed in 2007. Don’t miss Diana’s Gallery (photo) and director Peter Greenaway's films made exclusively for the site. The Venaria Reale was placed on the list of Patrimony of Humanity by UNESCO in 1997.
