The Bronzi Dorati da Cartoceto di Pergola are incredible gilded bronze, larger-than-life-size foursome of Imperial Roman statues, which date from around 25 B.C. Two matronly figures draped in robes and two equine statues (one with a rider) were found broken in the nearby countryside in 1946. They have been skillfully restored and can be found in the charming village of Pergola in Marche.
