This authentic Romanesque church contains one concession to the modern world, the beautiful cypress crucifix sculpted by the English artist Matthew Spender. Mr. Spender wrote "Within Tuscany" (below) about his life in Tuscany where he raised his family. The church also houses a "Madonna of Humility", an early sixteenth-century Florentine work from the school of Ghirlandaio.
