Cascata delle Marmore

The 15th tallest waterfall in the world at 165 meters long, Cascata delle Marmore is one of the most spectacular sites in Italy.


Located in Umbria, six km south east of Terni, the falls are normally diverted for hydroelectric use but are released at certain days throughout the year.

In winter: 3 to 4 pm daily

Mid-March to April and September and October: 10:30 am to 12:30 pm and 3pm to 8pm.

Saturdays 11-12:30 and 4pm to 9pm.

May to August: 10 am-1 pm and 3 pm to 9:30.

Saturday, 11-12:30 and 5pm-10pm

Also on weekdays from Mid-March to May 31: 12-12:30, 3:30 pm to 4 pm

June and September: 3 pm to 4:30 pm

July and August: 11 am-12:30 pm and 5 to 6:30 pm

Note: As everywhere in Italy these hours are subject to change. Consequently it would be wise to ask the locals for the current schedule.
