Established in 1910, the Fair of the Fat Oxen takes place the second Thursday before Christmas.
The fair is designed to honor the animal patrimony of Piemonte along with Lombardia and Liguria. Bovines are subject to strict controls and the winning specimens are festooned with colorful adornments and paraded through the town where there is a large market of goods and agricultural equipment.
