Early in 2006, Buena Vista Films will release Shadows in the Sun, a feature film that takes place predominately in the Val d'Orcia of Tuscany.

Yes, another film to inspire you to visit or to encourage you to return to the glorious country side of Tuscany's Val d'Orcia.

The film starring Joshua Jackson, Harvey Keitel, Claire Forlani, John Rhys-Davies and Giancarlo Giannini was shot in the enchanting (and possibly familiar) hilltowns of Radicofani, Abbadia San Salvatore, Saint Quirico D' Orcia, Castiglione d' Orcia and Sarteano.

Joshua Jackson, a young writer travels to Tuscany to track down an irascible author, Harvey Keitel, who is suffering from writers block. Once there, he learns about life and love from the literary genius and his daughter, Claire Forlani.

Hi Maria,

Thank you for your email.

DVD Release Date: April 25, 2006. All the towns are near enough to one another that you can visit all of them within a day's drive. The lake was probably Lago Trasimeno or Lago Bolsena.

If you enjoy Italian films, you may wish to rent the wonderful epic, "The Best of Youth" currently available on DVD.

when does shadows in the sun come out on dvd or video? are these places all close together?where is the lake that was shown in the movie and what is the name of the lake?
