The island of Salina is composed of two extinct volcanoes, Monte Fossa delle Felci and Monte dei Porri. Porri's crater lies just above sea level and contains the village of Pollara. The village and dramatic beach with its vast blank wall of pallid orange rock will be known to cinephiles who have seen Massimo Troisi and Philippe Noiret in Michael Radford’s, “Il Postino”.

Pollara and the island are magical places. My husband and I spent nine days, three of which were on the beach in Pollara. It was the most profound time of my life. Hopefully soon we can go back and spend more time there.
Dear,
I have been in Pollara last month and yours photos are very good!
Congratulations,
Marco
