People come from all over the Aeolian Islands by boat, car and vespa for Alfredo's famous fruit (and nut!) smoothies called graniti.


Original proprietors: Maria and Alfredo Olivieri

Established: 1971

They offered two flavors of graniti: lemon and coffee

Since 1988 their sons, Piero and Angelo manage the shop and have introduced new flavors and food. However, their father still makes the graniti in two antique machines, using only seasonal fruits, at the rear of their tiny shop.

Current Granita flavors:
Anguria (watermelon)
Pesca (peach)
Pistacchio (pistacchios from Bronte)
Mandorla (almonds from Avola)
Caffé (coffee)
Limone (lemon)
Fichi (fig)
Melone (melon)
Fragola (strawberry)
Gelsi (berry)
Cioccolata (chocolate)

Piero and Angelo have also introduced Pane Cunzato which is essentially a specialty panino served on flat bread and piled high with classic ingredients.

Pane Cunzato choices:
Caprese - tomato and mozzarella cheese
Caprese with tonno - with tuna
Eoliano - tomato, capers, olives, sardines, pepper flakes and onions.
Misto: tomatoes, capers, eggplant in oil, dried tomatoes, tuna and mozzarella.
