Triora is a small medieval village high (2,560 ft.) in the mountains of northwestern Italy.

This authentic stone village is a wonder to vist predominately for its position in the mountains of Liguria and its off the beaten toursit path ambience.

Triora, in the province of Imperia, is famous as the home of witches and sorcery. It was here that the witch Cubutina and her 30 accomplices were accused of having caused a terrible famine and were condemned to death by the Inquisition in 1548.

Molini di Triora was once wealthy due to the work of its 23 water mills. Here one can visit the charming 14th-century village church of “Santuario della Nostra della Monta “.

The Zucchetto family will welcome you and prepare fresh picked mountain mushrooms, wild boar, and snails. They may suggest a regional wine like a good Rossese di Dolceaqua.
