Visit Gostilna Devetak and enjoy a cuisine that has straddled the border of Italy and Slovenia since 1870.
In the deep northeast of Italy, in the Friuli region, the Devak family has been preparing unique dishes for their diners for over 130 years.
Chefs Michela Devetak and daughter in law, Gabriella Cottali (along with the waitstaff, Agostino and Nerina - Michela’s son and daughter) serve Italian-Slovene dishes like potato strudel with red beets and roebuck fillet with juniper sauce, apple puree and kren (fresh-grated horseradish in vinegar). The dish may be paired with a Terrano wine or the rare Movia wines of Slovenia from the trattorias' excellent wine list.
Gostilna is Slovene for trattoria.
