This tiny wine bar in the San Niccol� neighborhood has been said to have the second best wine list in Florence after Enoteca Pinchiorri.
On any given day you may find forty wines sold by the glass; fourteen vintages of Sassacaia. thirteen of Tignanello, four of Ornellaia, just to name a few.
Light menu items like crostini and bruschetta are available. After lunch go next-door to the wine store and buy what you enjoyed drinking the most at lunch.
Porta San Niccol� is a 14th century gateway in the city wall near San Miniato del Monte. To find the enoteca, take Lungarno Torrigiani ((located on the Oltrano side of the river) along the Arno River to Piazza Demidoff, turn right and continue through to Porta San Niccol� to via del Monte alle Croci. Enoteca Fuori Porta is on the right in the first block.
