| | Comments (0)

There are significant contemporary architectural projects taking place in the ancient city of Rome.

Besides the unveiling of Richard Meier's Padre Dio Misericordioso (Jubilee Church), in 2004, and his Ara Pacis Museum in 2005, other internationally famous architects are adding their signatures to the landscape.

Architect Renzo Piano has designed a complex of performance spaces Auditorium Parco della Musica that include a concert hall (La Cittą della Musica) for 2,700 and an outdoor amphitheater for 3,000.

Under construction and slated for 2006 is the exciting new Center for Contemporary Arts by the 2004 Pritzker-Prize winning architect, Zaha Hadid.
