A Futurist Restaurant in Milan

| | Comments (0)

A new restaurant named Lacerba is attempting to make Futurist recipes come alive.

Futurism was an international art movement founded in Italy in 1909. The Futurists loved speed, noise, machines, pollution, and cities. The most significant results of the movement were in the visual arts and poetry. However, they also re-thought the entire idea of how and what we eat.

Chefs Marco Cambrai and Pino Carvelli offer a traditional menu and a menu featuring original futurist recipes. The dining room walls consist of murals by Futurists, Depero and Boccioni.
