Coffee Titans

| | Comments (0)

Two caffès in Rome claim the title of "Best Coffee in the City"!

There is an ongoing battle in the Piazza della Rotonda area between Tazza d’Oro and Sant’Eustachio.

Each proprietor acknowledges the quality of their competition but insists theirs is the better roast. One claims it is the water they use which comes from an ancient Roman aqueduct. The other says they only use 100% arabica beans while the other surely adds robusta beans. Try both and decide for yourself!

Try their "granita di caffè" and pick-up a tin or packet of their special coffee “Aroma di Roma”.

A temple of espresso for coffee enthusiasts since 1938. They toast their own arabica in a wood burning roaster. The "gran caffè" is like a dessert as are the "coffee parfait" and the "granita di caffè".
