Jean-Luc Danneyrolles has for many years collected vegetables and rare botanicals and dedicates a large part of his activity to the production of seeds and heirloom plants.
He has become a key player in the domain of vegetable gardens. Certain great masters of cuisine such as Alain Ducasse have asked him to create vegetable gardens for them.
Wishing to link gardening, art and culture, he participates in numerous events. He is the author of three books published by Editions Actes Sud, notably " The Tomato" , "Garlic and the Onion" and "Sweet and Hot Peppers ".

Seeds of rare vegetables by correspondence, or you can buy his vegetables at the market in Apt.
Apt is a fabulous market town.On market day, the squares are filled, outside the old ports and inside the town, and there are kilometers of streets packed with market stalls and lined with shops.
Apts’ food market is on Saturday mornings and dates back to the 12th century. Look for the legendary edible gardener, Jean-Luc Danneyrolles, who planted the potager garden at Alain Ducasse's La Bastide de Moustiers and sells his vegetables here.
This Saturday morning market has breads, tapenade, split green olives in fennel brine and innumerable choices for that perfect picnic.
You can add wine to your picnic supplies from the wonderful selection at:
