If you are visitng Positano, take the short trip up the mountain and visit the tiny village of Montepertuso. While you are there, stop and enjoy a meal with our friends at Il Ritovo.
Chef Salvatore Barba and his girfriend Teresa (she understands English if you speak slowly) will prepare and serve a delightful regional meal in their cozy restaurant or in their lovely terrace overlooking Positano.
Teresa has studied to be a Sommelier so allow her to choose your wines. Ask Salvatore if he has any bufalo mozzarella available. South of this area is the only place in Italy that you can find true bufalo mozzarella and Salvatore has the source.

Montepertuso can be reached by foot (1,000 steps up!!), car or by the orange bus from Positano. We recommend taking the bus up, have lunch and then enjoying the spectacular walk down to Positano through the mountain terraces.
