Atrani, a fishing village, is also an extension of Amalfi town. The corniche circles the main square and the church of Santa Maria Maddalena. Atrani was the upmarket residential district of Amalfi in the 10th century. It still has some of the best examples of vernacular architecture on the Amalfi coast.
