Proprietors: Hatsuyo Noda (Mama Chino) and Junzo Chino emigrated from Japan to California in the 1920’s. Hatsuyo died in 1990; Junzo died in 1991.
Interred with their family of 7 (eventually 9) children during the war for three years in Poston, Arizona.
Present day proprietors: Tom Chino, president of Chino Nojo, Inc. and his wife Nina MacConnel along with Kazumi (Kay), Tom’s sister, Frank (master woodworker) and Fred Chino, Tom’s brothers.

55 acres and a stand called The Vegetable Shop

Alice Waters and Wolfgang Puck were the first to use these exceptional vegetables back in 1971 and 1982 respectively.

Mara Des bois-, developed in France with a powerful foretaste of the intoxicating European wild strawberries.
