Tyler Arboretum, one of the oldest and largest arboreta in the northeastern United States, is a 650-acre property located in central Delaware County. In addition to abundant plant life, the Arboretum grounds contain miles of marked trails; a greenhouse; the John C. Wister Education
Center, named after the Arboretum's first director; and museum collections located in the earliest sections of Lachford Hall (begun in 1738) and the Painter Library (built in 1863).
