Villa La Cassinella is situated on the western shores of Lake Como, close to the town of Lenno, approximately 20kms north of the town of Como. The villa is accessed by boat only, reaching a landing of stone steps leading through formal gardens with perfectly trimmed cypresses and fountain pool, directly up a short flight of stairs into the villa.

The nearest major international airports are Milan Malpensa and Milan Linate, which are approximately an hours drive away. The closest airport for private aviation is Lugano, approximately 45 minutes away and is suitable for most sizes of business jet (runway length is 4,429 feet/1,349 meters). Helicopter transfers are available to a private landing site a short distance from the villa. Launch transfers are also available from Como or Cernobbio. (30 minutes)

Accommodations

MAIN VILLA

Elegant grand lobby with original Senese marble floors and sculptural wrought iron railing. Exquisite formal living room with parquet floor, working marble fireplace and seating up to 16 persons; double doors leading to several covered terraces for outdoor dining.

Formal dining room accommodating up to 24 persons with parquet floors and working fireplace. Guest bathroom. Adjacent to the dining room is the butlers pantry which leads down to the main kitchen and laundry facilities.

All rooms are beautifully finished with Italian antique furniture, fine art and objects chosen from across Europe and handmade soft furnishings. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and are fully air-conditioned with independent heat/cool control. All the bedrooms in the main villa have plasma televisions, DVD players, satellite television, and access to over 200 movies and approximately 700 music CDs, all available through the remote control for each bedroom on Kaleidescape hard drive system. All rooms have a telephone, used for outgoing/incoming calls and intercom facilities.

FIRST FLOOR

Master bedroom suite: lake views, king sized bed, parquet floors, working fireplace, and beautiful balcony with views of the garden and also the lake. Studio with antique writing desk private fax machine, lake views leading to a marble master bathroom with ensuite bath with double-sink vanity and oversized shower with sunflower head and hand-held option; two windows overlooking courtyard and upper terrace.

Mountain bedroom: Lilac Suite (queen) antique writing desk, parquet floors with garden and lake views, and en-suite marble bathroom.

Blue bedroom: opposite terrace bedroom (king can separate) with original working fireplace, windows overlooking the courtyard, and en-suite marble bathroom with (tub and shower) windows overlooking the courtyard.

Terrace bedroom (king can separate into twins) fireplace, stone floor with large balcony, lake views, and en-suite marble bathroom (shower stall) double sinks and window on the lake.

SECOND FLOOR

Sitting room with seating for up to eight persons; original wood floor and working fireplace, full bathroom (spacious shower stall) with skylight. Studio Suite in the eaves, consist of a sitting area with sofas for 2 - 4 people and desk; double bedroom (king can separate into twins), small single bedroom (twin) and ensuite bath (shower stall) with marble. Best suited for a family with children and nanny.

CINEMA & GYM

State of the art cinema with projection screen and plasma TV, iPod dock and speakers. Spacious seating for at least 12 persons, four windows overlooking pool area, garden and lake. Double doors to upper terrace and pool. Efficiency kitchen for service to pool area and media room with office facilities and different comfortable seating layout possibilities. In this separate building there is also a fully equipped Technogym. A spa style bathroom services both the gym and the pool. A day bar/pantry completes this area adjacent to the fully heated infinity pool and sun bathing areas.

TERRACE HOUSE

Ground Floor Spacious sitting room for six with original fireplace and four windows with views of lake and gardens; satellite system with 1500 channels and movies, DVD; stairs with solid railing to loft furnished for relaxing. Separate eat-in kitchen (4 gas burners, oven, fridge, microwave) small table and direct access to the garden. First Floor External staircase opens to central foyer Double Bedroom (king can separate into twins) with double doors opening to large shared balcony. OUTDOORS

The tastefully designed, L-shaped heated infinity pool, 12 x 8 meters with nighttime light and 22 carat sun-reflecting gold tiles, is the standard of pool/lake perfection. The surrounding teak deck with sun beds, is the perfect place for relaxation. An illuminated tennis court with artificial grass surface is also available. Dining Loggia with 180 degree views of lake and gardens. Upper terrace with open loggia set for dining or relaxing. Various walking paths through terraced, manicured grounds. Kitchen garden for guests use.
