Fully restored only a few years ago, the owners that live part of year, have renovated the house with all modern comforts without having taken away the charm of the past. It has been furnished with eclectic taste. The owners collection of local and exotic handicrafts mix the old arts, local culture and modern age in perfect harmony.

The property extends over a 3.5 hectares (approx. 8 acres) completely surrounded by a stone wall. There are two gates, one of which is the entrance gate and is electronically activated. The farmhouse is sited in an ancient holm-oak wood (over 500 years most the Holm-oak tree woods in Puglia were replaced by olive trees); this collection of trees is one of the few left in this region. There are also fruit and vegetable orchards, old olive trees and many other Mediterranean plants and trees.

Puglia enjoys the climate of the Southern Mediterranean but its privileged geographical position between two coastlines ensures that summer temperatures remain comfortable.

The region's varied landscapes of striking natural beauty, its magnificent coastlines boasting sandy beaches to match any in the Mediterranean and wild rocky headlands have forged its reputation as an unbeatable all-year-round destination for visitors in search of sun, culture, cuisine and relaxed living.

Puglia, however, sets itself apart from other better-known parts of Italy in many ways, not least of which is the region's very own trullo. Trulli are cone-shaped dwellings built since the 18th century with immensely thick walls offering protection against the summer sun. Their unique architectural design has been used to stunning effect in the conversion of these ancient dwellings into villas which have become very popular as holiday homes.
