San Giovanni D’Asso is a charming little village which lies in the heart of the Crete Senese, the unique and spectacular countryside to the south of Siena. Casa San Giovanni is equally unique and provides its guests with the perfect blend of classic Tuscan style, fabulous views and contact with Italian life and luxury.

This large house is composed of two apartments, each one with a private entrance: the houses are connected by two doors, one on each floor that can be closed to separate them. This creates an ideal location for two groups of friends or families traveling together. Each apartment has its own fully equipped kitchen and living room to further insure privacy, when needed, and each bedroom features a ceiling fan.

The entire farmhouse can be rented to 10-12 people or to individual parties, upon request. One apartment can accommodate 4 people, the other 6-8. If only one apartment is rented, the other part will be closed and not rented to anyone else to ensure privacy to the guests.

Accomodations

APARTMENT 1:

Ground floor: a living room with fireplace, kitchen, dining area and a small terrace; an ancient staircase made of travertine leads you to the upper floor. First Floor: a small terrace with panoramic view, one double bedroom, one twin-bedded room and two bathrooms with showers.

APARTMENT 2:

Ground floor: a large living room with a sofa bed for two people, kitchen, dining area, a small toilet; the staircase leads to the first floor. First floor: a large living room with a fireplace and two sofas, two double bedrooms each with an en suite bathroom (including shower), one twin-bedded room and another full bathroom.

OUTDOORS:

In front of the private pool, there is a pool house where you can enjoy outdoor meals on a large table with two benches seating up to 12 people. Inside the pool house you will find a small bathroom with shower, an extra room with sofa bed and a small kitchen with fridge. In the front of the house there is a large, beautiful garden with olive and pomegranate trees. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a wonderful view of the rolling Sienese hills. Nearby: San Giovanni d’Asso has restaurants, a breakfast bar, pharmacy, bank, post office, supermarket and other shops. You can visit the beautiful ancient castle and the Truffle Museum (in November in the village takes place the White Truffle Festival),the charming tiny 11th century Romanesque church of San Pietro in Villore with its crypt and “Il Bosco della Ragnaia”. There are public tennis courts in Torrenieri (8 km), the famous Monte Oliveto Abbey is just 7 km away.
